January 28, 2011   |    By Leila Cobo, Miami

Puerto Rican reggaeton star Miguelito continued to establish himself as a rising brand with the launch of multiple promotion and entertainment partnerships. In a press conference in Miami this week, the 12-year old Miguelito announced a new video game, hair gel, a line of party goods, a cruise, a summer camp and even a film with him as the protagonist.

The video game, titled "Miguelito's Time Traveler," is aimed at children 5-11 years old and rated for "everyone." Produced by Global Games, it will go to retail in May and features Miguelito as a time and space traveler.

A line of party paraphernalia, Miguelito's Party Goods, will include Miguelito-branded party plates, napkins, piñatas and other goods. The line was launched in partnership with Dinax Corp., a company that distributes party produces in Puerto Rico.

The Miguelito hair gel, specifically designed for kids, will be produced by Xtreme Gel. And Miguelito's current clothing line, HEIRS, will expand to include a baby line of clothing. HEIRS is sold by Puerto Rican retail chain Me Salvé, which presented Miguelito with a plaque celebrating 3.5 million pieces of clothing sold.

In addition to his multiple lines of product, Miguelito also announced several branded entertainment endeavors.

During June and July, a Miguelito-themed summer camp will be held in Puerto Rico's Moisty Skate and Park waterpark. The close of the summer camp season will feature a Miguelito concert.

Then, in December, a Miguelito-themed Caribbean Christmas Cruise will launch on Royal Caribbean's Adventure of he Seas. The nine-day, eight-night Caribbean voyage will also feature a Miguelito performance.

Finally, Miguelito announced plans to produce and star in his first film, titled "Nadie Sabe Lo Que Tiene" and written and directed by David Impelluso and Virginia Romero.  A movie soundtrack will be released in tandem with the film.

Miguelito's albums are released on his own label, Pichaera Records and distributed by indie CDA Group.
