Redeye Inks Exclusive Distro Deals

August 31, 2007

By By Cortney Harding, N.Y.

Redeye Distribution has signed a number of new exclusive distribution deals, including agreements with Daptone Records and rock band Cake. World music imprint Luaka Bop has also inked a distribution deal with Redeye, with the first conjoined project coming in the form of Os Mutantes Live At The Barbican Theatre, London, 2006, to be released sometime this November.

Under the new deal, Cake will release a collection of "b-sides and rarities", their first album since 2004 studio album "Pressure Chief." Cake has parted ways with their label Columbia Records and started their own imprint, Upbeat Records.

Redeye Distribution is an international distributor founded in 1996 and based in North Carolina.
