IODA, IMMF Sign Distro Deal

April 30, 2008

By By Leah Kauffman, N.Y.

IODA and the International Music Managers Forum have linked for a worldwide digital distribution partnership. Through the deal IODA will handle all licensing, encoding, delivery, and accounting for IMMF.

Members of the IMMF/MMF can use IODA's Rightsholder Dashboard, which enables managers to handle royalties and contribute to the release process. The arrangement also provides for an artist owned and controlled catalog as well as the release of previously unavailable materials.

"Instead of relying on the traditional label system to release content, artists and managers can do it themselves, easily distributing and managing both new material and the unique recordings that may be collecting dust in their attics," said Kevin Arnold, CEO of IODA. "The IMMF is the largest and most forward-thinking managers group in the world, and we are thrilled that it has chosen IODA as its global partner."
