Bienstock Joins NMPA Board

The National Music Publishers' Assn. board of directors has appointed Caroline Bienstock, president/COO of Carlin America, to the board has joined the National Music Publishers' Assn. board of directors. She replaces her father, Freddy Bienstock.

Caroline Bienstock joined the family-run publisher in 1989. Her main areas of concentration include the publisher's Nashville operation, the company's expansion into film music acquisitions and licensing, its catalog growth and administration, and the newly-activated Carlin Music Publishing Canada subsidiary.

"We are so pleased to have Caroline on board in this capacity," said president and CEO David Israelite. "She is a person of boundless energy and vision, who has provided industry leadership on many fronts. We are fortunate to have her voice at the NMPA Board table."

Bienstock graduated cum laude from Yale College in 1979 before earning her JD at Boston University School of Law four years later. After earning an MBA from the Wharton School in 1987, she worked in the private client services division at Golman, Sachs & Co. for two years before being named to her current post at Carlin America.

Bienstock is also executive director of the Assn. of Independent Music Publishers' New York chapter and serves on the advisory panel for the BMI Foundation.
