Digital media delivery company 7digital has followed last week's deal with EMI for its Rolling Stones catalog with another pact, this time featuring former Beatle Ringo Starr's solo material.

Apple/Capitol's new "Very Best of Ringo Starr" compilation, which was released in the United Kingdom on Monday, was made available from Aug. 29 by 7digital in as high-quality, DRM-free 320kbps MP3 files.

The bundle price of the 20-track album in this format is ?7.99 ($16), as it is for four of Starr's original albums, which are now all available in the DRM-free format via 7digital.

The titles are "Sentimental Journey" and "Beaucoups of Blues" (both 1970), "Ringo" (1973) and "Goodnight Vienna" (1974), all originally released on Apple.

London-based 7digital is a privately-held company backed by Benchmark Capital, the venture capital firm behind eBay and other leading technology companies.
