After five years as executive VP at Warner Music Group (WMG), Kevin Liles is leaving the company. Liles will maintain in a consulting role with WMG and is exiting ?to pursue his own entrepreneurial opportunities,? according to a written statement.

He took the role at WMG after leaving Def Jam in 2004 where he was president of the label and executive VP of the Island Def Jam Music Group. He began at Def Jam in 1993 as an intern and was named president in 1998. He added the title of executive VP at IDJMG when the labels merged in 2002.
