-- Distributor the Orchard has announced a pan-European marketing and physical distribution deal with German CD distributor Intergroove. Under the deal, Intergroove will handle the physical distribution of select Orchard European front line and catalog releases, including the TVT Records label. The partnership's first joint digital and physical release is from Scottish group, The Cinematics, whose album "Love and Terror" was release on October 2. Intergroove represents domestic and international independent labels including Ministry Of Sound, 3P, Get Physical, and Demolition.

-- Verizon Wireless and Google have partnered and plan to co-develop several Android-based devices. The devices will be pre-loaded with applications from both parties as well as third-party developers, according to a release.
