La Curacao's Digital Store Plans Launch

May 08, 2008

By By Ayala Ben-Yehuda, L.A.

La Curacao's digital music store, Pasito Tunes, is set for a May 15 soft-launch with an official launch in July.

The department store chain's business development sales and marketing manager Reuven Hayun says the soft-launch period will be used to work out any bugs in the Pasito Tunes site.

Pasito Tunes' catalog, powered by MusicNet, will give customers access to millions of songs in genres from pop to tropical to regional Mexican. The songs will sell for 99 cents each or via subscription packages of $14.95 or $19.95 a month.

Key to the digital store's launch will be on-site kiosks at La Curacao where customers can download tracks in-store.

Salespeople will promote the digital store on-site by roaming around with laptops showing customers how to use Pasito Tunes, says Hayun, beginning in Los Angeles and Anaheim, Calif. and then at other La Curacao locations.
