By By Antony Bruno, Denver

- Financial analyst group Piper Jaffray conducted its 15th bi-annual teen survey, finding that illegal file sharing by students has dropped from 64% to 61%, and that iPod market share has increased to 86% among the demographic. iTunes leads all services at 81%.

- InStat predicts digital music sales will represent 40% of worldwide music sales, or $40.2 billion, by 2012 -- a sharp rise from the 10% it represented in 2007. Contributing to the growth will be the global expansion of broadband Internet networks, demand for single-track downloads and the rise of mobile downloads in markets like Japan, the company says.

- Konami Digital Entertainment is allowing fans of its "Dance Dance Revolution" franchise to design elements of the game's upcoming mobile version. Winners will be announced May 1. The mobile game is expected this fall.
