Greenberg To Relaunch S-Curve

July 16, 2007

By By Chris M. Walsh, N.Y.

Former S-Curve Records founder and CEO Steve Greenberg is getting ready to relaunch the label after a nearly two-year dormancy. As a full service music company, S-Curve will broaden its scope to include music publishing and artist management.

S-Curve's new roster will include We The Kings and Tom Jones.

S-Curve launched in 2000, and during its five-year run helped boost the careers of Joss Stone, Baha Men and Fountains of Wayne. Greenberg took the helm at Columbia Records as president in January 2005, at which point he closed S-Curve but retained the label's name. S-Curve's then-roster was reassigned to labels within EMI Music, S-Curve's partner at the time. Greenberg exited Columbia in June of last year.

In addition, Steve Yegelwel will rejoin the company after serving a stint at Columbia Records as senior VP of A&R.
