Live Nation has made a number of new appointments at its French operation, headed by the arrival of SVP promotions Angelo Goppe, formerly with Paris-based Nous Productions.

Reporting to Live Nation France managing director Isabelle Gamsohn, Goppe has the remit of growing Live Nation's volume of international and local concerts in France. He will be joined by Armel Campagna and Damien Chombard-Boudet, both formerly with Paris-based Gerard Drouot Productions, and Jonathan Miltat, formerly with Paris-based Deluxe Productions.

Live Nation CEO of international music Alan Ridgeway commented in a statement: "It is a pleasure to welcome this exciting young team of promoters to Live Nation. Since we entered France in 2007...we have seen a huge opportunity to bring more international and local concerts to music fans in Paris and the rest of France," he went on to say, adding that the new appointments enable Live Nation "to take full advantage of these opportunities."

Upcoming major events promoted by Live Nation France include Paul McCartney at the Palais Omnisport de Bercy, Paris on Dec. 10, Depeche Mode at Stade Couvert, Lens, on Jan. 17, followed by two dates at Palais Omnisport de Bercy, Paris (Jan. 19-20) and Whitney Houston at Palais Omnisport de Bercy, Paris on Apr. 6.

According to figures posted in Live Nation's Q3 earnings (Billboard.biz, Nov. 9), for the quarter ending Sept. 30, its revenues improved 13.8% over the previous year, rising to $1.81 billion.
