Ozzfest To Release Additional Free Tickets

July 17, 2007

By By Mitchell Peters, L.A.

Metal fans who missed out on nabbing tickets to this summer's free Ozzfest will get another chance to score tickets. Organizers have announced that additional tickets will be given away for the tour's 21 remaining dates.

Last month, "Freefest," the free version of Ozzfest, went clean on its free tickets for all 24 dates in four days. More than 428,000 tickets in all were given away through livenation.com from June 8-12.

Following the July 12 launch of this year's Ozzfest at Seattle's White River Amphitheatre, tour producer Live Nation decided that production could allow for additional free tickets to be released, according to a press release.

Beginning with the July 19 show at Mountain View, Calif.'s Shoreline Amphitheatre, additional free tickets will be available at FYE stores and venue box offices, while supplies last. Further information can be found at ozzfest.com, livenation.com and fye.com.

In addition to Ozzy Osbourne, Ozzfest acts include Lamb Of God, Hatebreed, Lordi, Static-X, Mondo Generator, Ankla, Circus Diablo, Nile, the Showdown, 3 Inches Of Blood, Daath, Chthonic and In This Moment. The 24-city tour wraps Aug. 30 at the Sound Advice Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Fla.
