MySpace Latino Grows 'Colombianos'

June 17, 2008

By By Ayala Ben-Yehuda, L.A.

MySpace Latino has launched a new community, "Colombianos," geared to Colombian-Americans and Colombians living in the United States. The site is teased on MySpace Latino's home page and currently features video of an acoustic performance by rocker Jorge Villamizar, a playlist of artists Jorge Celedon and Jimmy Zambrano, and news from Colombian newspaper El Tiempo, among other elements.

According to MySpace Latino, the "Colombianos" community has been growing faster than other MySpace Latino marketing communities in less than two weeks, and plans are in the works to create similar dedicated communities for Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Argentina.
