Recent Signings: Sony/ATV Latin, Paulina Rubio, Andrew Stockdale, E1 and More

-- Sony/ATV Latin America has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Mexican pop star Paulina Rubio. The deal covers all songs written by Rubio, including those from her mos recent album, "Gran City Pop." This is Rubio's first publishing deal. The singer's first co-writes appeared in her 1996 release "Planeta Paulina." In "Gran City Pop," she collaborated in eight of the album's tracks, writing alongside established songwriters like Est?fano.

-- Sony/ATV Latin America also signed an exclusive, worldwide publishing agreement with Gian Marco Zignano, better known as Gian Marco. The Peruvian singer/songwriter is considered one of the top songwriters in the Latin market, having written hits for Gloria Estefan, Marc Anthony and Alejandro Fernandez, among others. New Gian Marco tracks include "Ni Rosa, Ni Juguetes," the new single off Rubio's "Gran City Pop" album. The deal covers releases moving forward and includes the Rubio song.

Gian Marco was formerly signed to Emilio Estefan's publishing company, FIPP, and as an artist, he was originally signed to Estefan's Crescent Moon Records as well. He currently records on his own label, Caracola Records. His catalog comprises several hundred songs.

-- Universal Music Publishing Group has renewed and extended its relationship Wolfmother frontman and songwriter Andrew Stockdale, representing his songwriting services for the world, excluding Japan, on a long-term basis. Wolfmother's debut self-titled album became one of the most internationally successful Australian records, selling in excess of 1.5 million copies globally, according to the deal announcement. Later this month, the band's follow-up album, "Cosmic Egg" will be released in the US on Oct. 27, the U.K., Oct. 26, and Australia, Oct. 23.

-- E1 Entertainment will be the exclusive DVD distributor for Here Films and Regent Releasing in the United States and Canada through August 2012. Under this new deal, E1 will release an average of four titles per month.
