Stevie Wonder May Headline Glastonbury Fest

February 03, 2010

By By Andre Paine, London

Stevie Wonder and alt-rock band Muse could join U2 as the headline acts at the 2010 Glastonbury Festival this summer.

Organizer Michael Eavis discussed the acts to play the 40th anniversary event, held on June 23-27, during a session at the Event Production Show at London's Olympia.

Eavis said Muse would headline on June 26 and it was "probable" that Stevie Wonder would close the U.K. festival in Somerset on June 27.

U2 has already been officially confirmed as a headliner on the Pyramid Stage on Friday (June 25).

Meanwhile, Corinne Bailey Rae has also been confirmed for Glastonbury, where she will appear on the main (Pyramid) stage.

The U.K. singer-songwriter will play the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire in London on Feb. 24 as well as the opening ceremony of the One Young World Summit in Old Billingsgate, London on Feb. 8.
