Music-focused social network MOG has added lyrics to its service through a deal with Gracenote. CEO David Hyman announced the development on the company's blog. The implementation of the lyrics page is much like that of other music services in that users can search for lyrics by artist, track or album.

Gracenote provides the lyrics service based on licensing deals it has struck with multiple publishing bodies. The lyrics appear in non-interactive form, meaning users can't copy and paste from the page to other formats.

Gracenote has licensed the service to AOL Music, Clear Channel, MetroLyrics, MTV Networks and Yahoo Music.
