Rhino Website Goes Live

January 23, 2008

By By Paul Sexton, London

The Rhino label has launched its own music site, primarily to promote its U.K. releases.

The site, at www.rhino.tv, offers some 2,000 free-to-access videos, exclusive content, artist interviews and information. Rhino claims that the free, high quality nature of the material makes this a first for a label.

Each video on the site has an embeddable code so that visitors can place their favourite clips onto their personal blogs and MySpace and other Web sites.

Ringtones and band merchandise will be available and the site also features a retrospective factual content powered by Thisdayinmusic.com.

The label says it aims to make the site a "first port of call for artist information and interviews and a center for diverse, great quality music."
