Distributor Neuton Announces Insolvency

December 03, 2008

By By Cortney Harding, N.Y.

Following the footsteps of UK vinyl distributor Amato and Japanese distributor Cisco, German vinyl distributor Neuton has announced its insolvency. Neuton distributed electronic labels such as Four Twenty, Tresor, Vakant, and Perlon.

Neuton was established in 1993 and were considered by some to be the premier distributor of dance vinyl in Germany. In addition to their distribution business, in-house labels included Mofa Schallplatten, Exacta.udio, and Neuton Music. They also owned Future Classics Publishing.
