Digital Briefs: Buzznet, Spiralfrog, Qloud

June 03, 2008

By By Antony Bruno, Denver

- Buzznet launched Celebuzz.com, a social networking and media site dedicated to celebrity news, gossip and photos. The site aggregates photos and blog postings of about a dozen existing celebrity blogs, as well as user-generated content.

- Spiralfrog has added another major label to its licensing roster, this time EMI Music Group. Sony BMG and Warner Music Group are the two majors still not yet participating in the ad-supported service.

- Qloud has extended its My Music application to MySpace. My Music allows users to import and play full songs and videos of any song in their iTunes collection that exists on YouTube via their social networking profile, including playlists and charts. The service originally launched on Facebook and attracted more than 1 million users in a matter of months. Qloud created the MySpace version after the popular social networking service unveiled its developer platform this February.
