Lady Gaga has the biggest-selling download ever in the U.K. with download sales of 779,000 for "Poker Face" (Interscope), according to the Official Charts Co.The All-Time Official Downloads Chart was published to mark five years of the Official Download Chart.
The one-off chart, published by the Official Charts Company today (Sep. 7), covers all download sales from the start of September 2004 to the end of August 2009.
Lady Gaga has two tracks in the top five - Poker Face at No. 1 with 779,000 sales and "Just Dance" at No. 3 with 700,000 sales.
Kings Of Leon has two tracks in the top five - "Sex on Fire" at No. 2 and "Use Somebody" (Hand Me Down/RCA) at No. 4. Pop act La Roux is at No. 5 with "In For the Kill" (Polydor).
Leona Lewis has two tracks in the top 10 - "Run" at No. 6 and "Bleeding Love" at No. 8 - and fellow Syco act Alexandra Burke is at No. 7 with "Hallelujah." Both artists are previous winners of ITV1 music talent show "The X Factor."
Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" (Fiction/Polydor) is at No. 9 and Nickelback's "Rockstar" (Roadrunner) from 2005 is at No. 10 - the oldest track in the top 100 downloads.
The top 100 features 46 entries from 2008 and 21 from 2009 so far. Overall, 15 releases from 2007 make the Top 100, along with 13 from 2006, two from 2005 and three from 2004.
