May 05, 2008

By By Antony Bruno, Denver

Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails is at it again, throwing another digital strand of pasta at the wall to see if it sticks, this time giving away the new album "The Slip," completely free of charge, to anyone providing their e-mail address at it's Web site.

The free album includes several format options, and a PDF of all artwork and credits. The site says a physical version of the album will be out in July.
What's more, the album uses a Creative Commons license, allowing fans to remix, share and post music as they like.

NIN is also streaming the entire album from its iLike profile, and promoting the free album download via the free single "Echoplex."
