The Eagles' first studio album in 28 years, "Long Road Out Of Eden", is to be distributed and marketed by Universal Music Group International outside North America.

Their comeback album will be released in the rest of the world on Oct. 29 in both physical and digital formats.

As previously reported, in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, "Long Road Out Of Eden" will be released Oct. 30 exclusively through Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and via the Eagles' Web site.

The first single, "How Long", had its video premiere on Monday at Yahoo! Music. Fans who pre-order the album from the band's Web site get to download the single immediately. Universal Music Group Nashville is promoting and marketing the track to radio in the U.S.

"We're delighted to welcome the Eagles to the Universal family. And certainly, to being playing a part in what will surely be the next great chapter in the storied career of this seminal rock band," said Doug Morris, chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group International, in a statement.

The Eagles have sold an estimated 120 million albums worldwide, according to the label.

"The Eagles are icons," Lucian Grainge, chairman/CEO, Universal Music Group International, added. "It's rare to have the opportunity to be involved with a band of their stature, as they define popular music in so many ways. Everyone at this company is excited at the prospect of the new album, and bringing it to music fans worldwide."

The band will play a six-night stand in October with Dixie Chicks as part of the opening of the new Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. Guitarist Joe Walsh recently told Billboard that the Eagles will also tour extensively next year in support of "Long Road Out Of Eden".
