MySpace U.K. Traffic Slumps: Report

July 07, 2010

By By Andre Paine, London

The number of visitors to MySpace U.K. has halved in the last six months, according to TechCrunch.

The site reports that it has seen internal figures showing monthly figures down from 10 million at the beginning of 2010 to 5 million by the end of June 2010. The data is for total monthly visits rather than unique visitors.

MySpace U.K. issued a statement, included in the TechCrunch report, which said: "We don't publicly share internal data but these figures aren't accurate."

According to comScore data, MySpace U.K.'s monthly uniques are down from more than 6 million to under 4 million over the 12 months to May 2010.

TechCrunch also reports that MySpace U.K. has let seven staff members go, leaving 43.
