Scottish singer Susan Boyle moved more than 130,000 copies of her debut album "I Dreamed a Dream" (Syco/Sony Music) on its first day on sale in the U.K., according to the Official Charts Company.

The sales success follows a Nov. 22 guest appearance on music talent show "The X Factor," where she performed her cover version of the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses."

Boyle rose to international fame after her audition for "Britain's Got Talent" was aired in April, and subsequently spread via the Internet.

The set could beat boy band JLS' first week sales of 230,000 for its self-titled Syco/Sony debut earlier this month. The group was in second place on last year's "The X Factor."

Entertainment retailer HMV is forecasting total weekly sales of 400,000 for Boyle, which would be the biggest week one tally since pop act Take That moved 443,000 copies of "The Circus" in December 2008.
