February 05, 2009

By By Ayala Ben-Yehuda, L.A.

Nokia has quietly opened its Nokia Music Store in Mexico. Though the handset maker has yet to launch its all-you-can-eat Comes With Music service in Mexico, a visit to the store reveals downloadable music from Warner, EMI and Sony. Albums sell for 120 pesos ($8.34 U.S. at press time) and tracks are 12 pesos (84 cents). Genre categories include norte?o/duranguense in the main menu. Users can transfer the DRM-protected tracks from their computer to a portable player or their compatible Nokia phone.
