Rufus Wainwright, Lenny Kaye, Peter Holsapple and Steve Wynn, among others, will perform at the Rock-It Science Festival, to be held March 3 at the Highline Ballroom in New York.

The one-day event will also feature a number of scientists and academics who perform live music on the side. Many of those artists, including Dr. Joseph LeDoux-led the Amygdaloids, perform songs with lyrics that are based on their scientific research. Others performing are Daniel Levitin, David Sulzer, Pardis Sabeti and Andrew Revkin.

The Rock-It Science Festival will serve as the closing event for the March 2-3 Sensation to Emotion Conference. Proceeds from the event will benefit the E.M.B. Brout Sensory Processing and Emotion Regulation at Duke University, and the SPD Foundation.
