Allen Joins Capitol Nashville
January 05, 2007
by Ken Tucker, Nashville
Veteran promotion man Shane Allen joins Capitol Records Nashville in the newly created position of VP of radio strategies and field marketing. He'll be based in Nashville and will report to senior VP of promotion Jimmy Harnen.
Allen most recently served as national director, West and Southwest promotion for Nashville-based Universal South Records.
"Our business is changing at both a rapid and constant pace, with all the technologies now available in our industry having a significant and ever-evolving impact," Harnen said in a release. "With Shane in place we hope to better reach the fans, building on our radio airplay to maximize its value to the listener and to all those who invest in our music."
Allen previously held positions at MCA and Mercury Nashville. He got his start at country radio station KSON in San Diego.
