Jamiroquai To Launch Networking Site

Funk/soul act Jamiroquai is launching a social networking-like Web site designed specifically for fans to acquire and share music, video, merchandise and news about the band.
The site includes a sales platform that allows fans to buy both CDs and digital music downloads directly, as well as exclusive merchandise and breaking news via RSS feeds. It also uses calendar software form Spongecell to provide updates on the band's touring activities and other appearances.
A key component of the new site uses widgets, which fans can copy and place on their blogs or social network profiles, so others not visiting the Jamiroquai site can view the same information and buy the same products.
