Premios MTV Adds Ringtone, Fan Club Categories August 20, 2008

Reflecting changes in music discovery and monetization, this year’s Premios MTV Latin America have introduced five new categories: Best Ringtone, Best Music in a Videogame, Best Tour, Best Music Film and Best Fan Club.
Fans can register their clubs for consideration at www.MTVla.com/fanclub. The show’s first announced performers are Katy Perry, Paramore and Belanova.
The awards will be broadcast live from Guadalajara’s Auditorio Telmex on Thursday, Oct. 16 to more than 22 countries in Latin America and on MTV Tr3s in the United States.
