EMI Appoints Hanebrink To Chairman

Wolfgang Hanebrink, head of commercial development EMI Music GSA, has been appointed chairman EMI Music GSA in Cologne. In his new role, which is effective immediately, Hanebrink also takes on the responsibility for EMI Music Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Hanebrink joined EMI Music Germany in August 2005 as VP commercial. Six months later he took over the role as COO EMI Music GSA. In his position as head of commercial development Hanebrink reports to Ronn Were, president commercial development and in his new additional position as chairman EMI Music GSA directly to Jean-Francois Cecillon, president international A&R labels and president EMEA. At the same time Birgit Adels, CEO EMI Music GSA left the company.
