Warner Music Group To Restructure, Layoff 400 May 07, 2007
By Ed Christman, N.Y.
Warner Music Group is planning a restructuring that will include company-wide layoffs totaling 400 staffers and place further emphasis on digital strategy and distribution, sources say.
The company plans to simultaneously invest in new initiatives, including more hires for WMG's growing digital operations.
Sources indicate the layoffs will be staggered, rather than all coming down at once.
