50 Cent To Make India Debut
November 05, 2007 - Global | Touring | RB Hip-Hop

By Nyay Bhushan, New Delhi

50 Cent will perform in India for the first time on Nov. 18 at Mumbai's 15,000 capacity MMRDA Grounds, promoters Oranjuice Entertainment said today.

Smirnoff Experience is principal sponsor of the concert, while MTV's international music channel Vh1, newspaper Mumbai Mirror, Spykar Jeans and telecoms firm Vodafone, are among the commercial partners.

Tickets went on sale today priced at Rupees 600 and 1,000 ($15 and $25).

Mumbai-based Oranjuice partner V G Jairam comments, "We wanted to bring to India the biggest name in hip hop and its great timing that 50 Cent's India concert follows his latest album release 'Curtis'."

Oranjuice promoted Akon's debut India gig in New Delhi this October.
