Metallica, the Offspring, the Raconteurs, Rise Against, Bad Religion, Pennywise and the Bravey are among the acts confirmed for KROQ-Los Angeles' Weenie Roast, to be held May 17 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, Calif.

Also on the bill for "Weenie Roast Y Fiesta 2008" are Scars on Broadway, Seether, Flogging Molly, Atreyu, MGMT, Flobots and Ludo.

The lineup was announced this morning (May 5) on KROQ's "The Kevin and Bean Show." Ticket on-sale information will soon be announced via the radio station's programming and its Web site.

Along with Weenie Roast, Metallica had two U.S. performances lined up at deadline: Tucson, Ariz.'s KFMA Day (May 16) and Manchester, Tenn.'s Bonnaroo Music Festival (June 13). The rock act has a handful of concert and festival appearances in Europe through August.

Last year's Weenie Roast featured Linkin Park, Korn, Social Distortion, Incubus, Interpol, Queens of the Stone Age, Bad Religion, 30 Seconds to Mars, Rise Against, the Bravery, Tiger Army, Tim Armstrong, Peter Bjorn and John, Silversun Pickups and Plain White T's.
