Sony Music Australia executive Mark Flynn rises from senior director to GM, promotions, publicity and business enterprises, with immediate effect.
Flynn is tasked with managing the music major's promotions and publicity division, and its business enterprises, with a remit to maximise promotions and publicity and securing new business partnerships.
During his time with the company, Flynn has fostered a range of new business partnerships and has forged arrangement with brands including McDonald's, Carlton, Smiths Chips, National Foods and Garnier.
Based in Sydney, Flynn continues to report to Sony Music Australia chairman and CEO Denis Handlin.
Flynn joined the firm back in 1998 in the role as New South Wales promotions manager for Epic Records. The following year, he was named director, national promotions and publicity. After taking a sabbatical in late 2005, Flynn returned to the company in July 2006 in the role as director of business enterprises, then rose to senior director, promotions, publicity and business enterprises in September 2007.
