Promo Vet Young Joins Country Thunder, Permian

Country promotion veteran Bobby Young has joined independent label Country Thunder and new sister label Permian Records in the newly created position of senior VP of promotion and artist development.
Young, who was most recently the Southeast regional promoter at Big Machine Records, has prior experience at Mercury Nashville, River North and Jeff McCluskey & Assoc. He also served as senior partner of Young-Olsen & Associates.
He reports to Craig Morris, GM of parent company Graham Entertainment.
Meanwhile Jeff Davis, who served as Southeast regional at Nashville-based Equity Music Group, will replace Young at Big Machine. Davis began his career in radio and later worked at Epic, MCA and Elektra Records. He has been with Equity for the last four years.
