Verve Names Cohen A&R VP

Mitchell Cohen has been named VP, A&R for the Verve Music Group. Cohen will be based in New York and report to Bruce Resnikoff, president and CEO of Universal Music Enterprises and the Verve Music Group.
Most recently, Cohen was senior VP of A&R at Columbia Records, where he spent 13 years, from 1993 to 2006. He worked with a diverse roster including Harry Connick, Maxwell, the Neville Brothers, Savage Garden and Carly Simon while at Columbia.
Prior to Columbia, he spent almost two decades at Arista, where he signed artists such as Jeff Healey, The Church, Curtis Stigers and Dion.
