UMRG Names Marolda CFO

Universal Motown Republic Group (UMRG) has named George Marolda CFO. Based in New York, Marolda will report to UMRG chairman Mel Lewinter.
In his new role, Marolda will oversee all financial functions of the label group, including planning, forecasting, reporting and deal analysis. In addition, he'll be responsible for human resources, information technology, marketing administration, recording administration and office services for the company.
Marolda will also work closely with Universal Republic Records president Monte Lipman and Universal Motown Records president Sylvia Rhone.
Marolda joined UMRG in 1999 as senior director of finance, and was elevated to VP of finance in 2001. Prior to joining the label group, he served as VP of finance at PolyGram Video. Marolda has also enjoyed various stints in finance at EMI Music Publishing and Next Plateau Records.
