Acclaims Unveils Online Music Game December 01, 2008

Acclaim Games, best known for multiplayer online role playing games, is getting into the music-based game genre with "Rockfree." Scheduled for the first quarter of next year, "Rockfree" is a free online game that lets players compete with up to seven other players in music simulation battles. Gamers also can create custom avatars, open a rock club in the game, and download new songs.
A closed, invite-only beta of the game was supposed to be live by the weekend, but at press time the company has not yet got it up and running.
