By Lars Brandle, London

EMI sales veteran Mike McMahon has left the company, Billboard.biz has learned.

McMahon is the latest executive to depart from the major, which continues to undergo a radical transformation under the guidance of its executive chairman Guy Hands.

An EMI spokesperson declined to comment on speculation that Ferdy Unger-Hamilton, the recently-promoted president of A&R Labels, Virgin, has left the company, along with EMI Music U.K. senior VP Mark Collen and EMI managing director Terry Felgate.

Coinciding with the confirmed departure of McMahon, who was senior VP, commercial for EMI Music U.K., EMI Music has moved to strengthen its sales teams on both sides of the Atlantic.

Matthew Crosswaite has been promoted to the new role of senior VP, sales and commercial development, for EMI Music U.K. and Ireland, an EMI spokesperson confirms. Crosswaite, who until recently served as VP, business development with EMI's Global Digital Music team, is based at the company's Wrights Lane premises in London, and reports to Ronn Werre, president, EMI Music commercial development.

At the same time, Darren Stupak, has been named senior VP, sales and commercial development, EMI Music North America. As part of that promotion, Stupak will run the company's U.S. distribution arm, EMI Music Marketing.

Stupak is based in the company's L.A. office, with a primary reporting line to Werre, and a secondary reporting line to Colin Finkelstein, president, EMI Music North America.

Stupak joined the company in 1992, and since 2005 has served with EMI Music marketing as senior VP, sales and commercial development.
