Sirius XM Integrates Programming, Rolls Out New Channels November 12, 2008

When Sirius XM Satellite Radio subscribers turned on their radios on Wednesday morning (Nov. 12) they were greeted by a message that their channels were being updated. This was the much anticipated day when all of the new channel assignments were revealed, the result of the recent merger of Sirius and XM, which has meant a consolidation of duplicate channels and a slew of layoffs.
"This is the ultimate evolution for our channels and sets a new bar for audio entertainment, Sirius XM president and chief content officer Scott Greenstein says."The breadth and quality of the new programming lineups make it clear that everything worth listening to is now on Sirius XM."
