Update: AEG Live Opens San Diego Office

AEG Live is setting up shop in San Diego, opening a regional office that will be led by Steve Redfearn and John Wojas, formerly of San Diego-based independent promoter Viejas Entertainment.
With its new presence in San Diego, AEG Live will book shows into the 14,000-seat San Diego Sports Arena, including upcoming concerts from the American Idol tour in July and Hannah Montana in November. The new office will also oversee shows at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club's Four O'Clock Friday series, along with Humphrey's Concerts By the Bay.
With the move from Viejas Entertainment, Redfearn takes on the title of VP and Wojas becomes VP of booking at AEG Live San Diego. Joining them will be longtime co-workers Matt Swanson (talent buyer), Ben Chapman (finance manager), Lesley Lizcano (marketing coordinator) and Lea Dyresen (office manager/executive assistant).
In their previous roles at Viejas Entertainment, Redfearn served as president and Wojas was a talent buyer.
Prior to joining Viejas, Redfearn enjoyed stints at Bill Silva Presents, Nederlander Concerts, and served as president of his own company, Redfearn & Associates. He has also worked with such artists as Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt and Jimmy Buffet, among others.
With more than 15 years of experience in the San Diego market, Wojas has held various titles at HOB predecessor Universal Concerts and Bill Silva Presents, booking concerts in such markets as Phoenix, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. In the San Diego territory, Wojas has booked the 12,000-seat Cox Arena, 4,500-seat Open Air Theater, Viejas' Concerts in the Park series, the 5,000-capacity Bayside and the San Diego Sports Arena.
