Lloyd Webber Said To Be Prepping Music Video Games January 13, 2009

Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group is shopping around several video game titles based on the famed composer's musicals, according to paidcontent.org.
Titles thought to be under consideration include "Cats" and "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." The games would see players singing songs from the shows and could include audition elements similar to Lloyd Webber's U.K. television shows "I'd Do Anything" and "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria", according to the site.
While music games account for the largest share of video games at 16 percent, according to the NPD Group, sales for the genre have started to slip as fears of oversaturation of the market have begun to rise. Revenue from music games was down 6 percent in November. Sales figures for December are set to be released on Jan. 15.
