Edwards Upped At UMPG

Maani Edwards has been promoted to VP of urban creative affairs, West Coast, for Universal Music Publishing Group. Edwards reports to Tom Sturges, executive VP and head of creative for the company.
Edwards, who has been with UMPG for nine years, will continue to be responsible for signing and developing urban writers, artists, and producers. In addition, Edwards will work to promote the existing catalog.
"Maani is a remarkable talent and has the ability to perceive talent in others, whether it be 50 Cent or J. Myers; Dre & Vidal or Jill Scott," said Tom Sturges. "We are thrilled to have Maani as a key member of the Universal Music Publishing Group creative team."
