Banda El Recodo Line Up NASCAR Concert

Banda el Recodo will play a show at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif. Aug. 31 before NASCAR's Pepsi 500 race. The race and show will be previewed tonight (Aug. 14) at another Southern California venue, the Home Depot Center, where band leader Poncho Lizarraga will help narrate the broadcast of the Chivas USA-L.A. Galaxy soccer match on Los Angeles' ESPN Deportes Radio 1330 AM and Chivas' broadcast partner W Radio 690 AM.
Lizarraga will also drive a racecar at the speedway Friday to drum up publicity for the upcoming concert. Earlier this year, Juanes appeared in a 16-week TV campaign for NASCAR, in which he was shown with driver Juan Pablo Montoya and Juanes' single "Me Enamora" was heard.
Chivas USA is selling a combination ticket for the soccer game, the Pepsi 500 race and the Banda el Recodo show for $69. The team has a marketing partnership with the Auto Club Speedway.
