Razor & Tie Entertainment has promoted Beka Tischker to the role of VP of A&R and music publishing. Prior to her promotion, Tischker was senior director of A&R, a position she has held since 2006.
Tischker started out as creative director for Deston Songs in Nashville in 2000. In 2002, she was named professional manager of creative for Major Bob Music, and in 2003 became director of business development for iMusic Group. In 2004, she was named associate director Of writer/publisher relations for BMI in New York. Tischker became A&R manager for Columbia Records in 2005 before moving over to Razor & Tie.
She will report to Razor & Tie Co-Owners Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam and continue to be based in New York.
