Lady Gaga, Green Day, Pink Added To Grammy Performers Line Up

January 05, 2010

By By Mariel Concepcion, N.Y.

Lady Gaga, Pink, Green Day, Dave Matthews Band and Zac Brown Band are the latest acts scheduled to perform at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards, it was announced today (Jan. 5) on the Recording Academy's official twitter page.

Taking place at the Los Angeles' Staples Center on Jan. 31, and airing live on CBS, the Grammys will also feature performances by nominated artists Beyonc?, the Black Eyed Peas, Taylor Swift, Maxwell and Lady Antebellum. More artists and presenters will be revealed soon, according to the announcement.

Now that Lady Gaga and Dave Matthews Band have been added to the roster, all five nominees in the Album of the Year category -- which also includes Beyonc?, the Black Eyed Peas and Swift -- will perform on the show.

Album of the Year is just one of 10 nods for Beyonce's "I Am? Sasha Fierce," whose nomination domination is followed by eight nods for Swift's "Fearless," six each for Maxwell, the Peas and Kanye West and five each for Jay-Z and Gaga.

One artist who will definitely not be making a victory speech Grammy night is Miley Cyrus, who lost her Grammy bid for Best Song Written for Motion Picture, Television, Or Other Visual Media last month, after Walt Disney Records disclosed that Cyrus' ballad "The Climb" was not expressly written for "Hannah Montana: The Movie." The teen pop star's nod was replaced with Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O's "All Is Love" from the "Where the Wild Things Are" soundtrack.
