Soda Stereo Continue Reunion Run

November 06, 2007

By By Marcelo Fernandez Bitar, Buenos Aires

Argentine rockers Soda Stereo have added a sixth show at the 60,000-capacity River Plate stadium in their hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina, as part of their reunion tour.

The six-show run, which will host 360,000 fans, makes Soda the record holder for most shows performed at River Plate. The previous record was held by the Rolling Stones, who played five shows in 1998.

After a 10 year absence, Soda Stereo reunited for a continental stadium tour that kicked off with sold out shows Oct. 19 and 20 at River Plate. Here in the United States they will play shows in Los Angeles (Nov. 21) and Miami (Dec. 4 and 5). A second Miami show was added in December after tickets for the first sold out.
