By By Ayala Ben-Yehuda, L.A.

The growing Latin market of Charlotte, N.C. is getting a new regional Mexican station, the Charlotte Observer reports. On Jan. 1, Norsan Media will move its "La Raza" regional Mexican format from WRML 102.3 FM to WOLS 106.1 FM. The latter is currently an English-language oldies station owned by GHB Broadcasting.

Norsan Media is leasing and managing WOLS with an option to buy. Norsan's current regional Mexican station WRML will switch to Latin pop and tropical.
