September 17, 2009

By By Evan C. Jones, N.Y.

Country music station WSM 650-AM is bringing "Music City Roots: Live from the Loveless Caf?" to the airwaves. The weekly show will highlight Nashville's rich musical history and harken back to WSM's live music programming heyday.

"I can't wait to bring to life the evolving world of WSM music to a weekly live local audience at the Loveless, a weekly live national audience through 650 AM and a weekly global audience through www.wsmonline.com," says WSM 650-AM operations manager Joe Limardi. ?It's the coolest feeling to still be excited about something new and fresh after 84 years as a radio station!"

The debut show is scheduled for Oct. 14 and features Emmylou Harris, the duo Pam Rose and Mary Ann Kennedy, Annie Crane and Robin Ainger.
