International Music Summit Sets 2011 Date

August 27, 2010

By By Richard Smirke, London

The fourth annual International Music Summit (IMS) is to take place May 25-27 next year, in Ibiza.

Founded and run by BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong, Ben Turner, Danny Whittle, Mark Netto and Simeon Friend, the electronic music industry conference launched in 2008. This year's leg, which took place May 26-28 and featured David Guetta, Mark Ronson and Erick Morillo among its guests, saw over 450 delegates from 30 countries attend, according to organizers, who claim that next year's event will be the biggest yet.

In a statement, Tong said: "IMS continues to grow, both as an inspiring and enlightening electronic music business gathering where our delegates can get up close and personal with many of world's leaders in the field, and as the host to a unique collection of live shows that are open to the public."
